Willow's Future: Uncanceled or Just on Hiatus?
Co-showrunner Jonathan Kasdan clarified that the sequel series Willow Volume II is "developed and written" and has the "enthusiastic and unwavering support of Lucasfilm and Disney," but production won't resume in the next 12 months due to industry-wide slowdowns. The cast has been released for other opportunities, but Kasdan suggests that the show could return later, citing examples of other shows that have been revived after long hiatuses. The first season of Willow is currently available on Disney+.
