"Jon Singleton's Long-Awaited Return to Astros Brings Much-Needed Pop"
Jon Singleton is set to return to the Houston Astros, the team he last played for in 2015. The first baseman, who has been playing at Triple-A Sugar Land, adds depth to the Astros' lineup. Singleton, who signed a minor league deal with the Astros in June, has been performing well, hitting .333 with 12 homers and 28 RBIs. The 31-year-old had left baseball in 2017 but restarted his career in the Mexican League in 2021. Singleton's return comes as the Astros visited the White House to be honored by President Joe Biden for winning the World Series.
