Mets consider skipping Megill's turn in rotation amidst recent struggles.
The New York Mets are considering skipping Tylor Megill's turn in the rotation due to his recent struggles and the team's upcoming off days. They could potentially add a reliever and align Kodai Senga, Carlos Carrasco, Max Scherzer, and Justin Verlander for their next starts. The Mets wouldn't need a fifth starter until June 20th. If Megill is optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, Joey Lucchesi or David Peterson could take his place. The Mets could also keep Megill in the bullpen and reinsert him into the rotation when needed.
