Scholl had Calcaterra over for dinner last May to celebrate his graduation, and even the most fantastical path they had imagined didn’t involve this.

Calcaterra said Saint Mary's tries to slow the pace down and make them work in the halfcourt on defense. UConn assistant Luke Murray will do the scout work for Sunday's game against the California-based Gaels.
