Giants Select Bryce Eldridge and Walker Martin in 2023 MLB Draft
The San Francisco Giants selected two-way player Bryce Eldridge with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. Eldridge, a high school standout from Virginia, was named the 2022-23 Gatorade Virginia Baseball Player of the Year. The Giants also drafted shortstop Walker Martin and left-hander Joe Whitman on Day 1 of the draft. Eldridge has a powerful arm and impressive hitting abilities, while Martin offers tantalizing power from the left side. Whitman is viewed as one of the top left-handed college arms in the draft.
