Vallow is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, and grand theft over the deaths of her daughter Tylee Ryan and son Joshua "JJ" Vallow. Their bodies were found buried on Vallow's new husband Chad Daybell's property in June 2020. The court heard graphic testimony from Detective Ray Hermosillo and saw harrowing photos of JJ and Tylee's remains. Vallow is also charged with conspiracy to murder Daybell's first wife Tammy.

The trial of Lori Vallow Daybell, charged with conspiracy, murder, and grand theft in the deaths of her two children, JJ and Tylee, as well as her new husband's first wife, Tammy Daybell, began on Monday. Prosecutors allege that Vallow Daybell used money, power, and sex to get what she wanted, and that her children and Tammy Daybell were in the way. Vallow Daybell's defense argued that the prosecution must establish beyond a reasonable doubt what happened to JJ, Tylee, and Tammy Daybell, and what Vallow Daybell's alleged involvement is.
