Blues Appoint Jim Montgomery as New Head Coach After Firing Bannister
The St. Louis Blues have appointed Jim Montgomery as their new head coach, replacing Drew Bannister. Montgomery, who previously led the Boston Bruins to a record-breaking season and won the Jack Adams Award, has signed a five-year contract with the Blues. His coaching career includes successful stints with the Dallas Stars and as an assistant with the Blues, as well as a championship-winning tenure at the University of Denver.
