Pirates Trade Carlos Santana to Brewers for Shortstop Prospect
The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded Carlos Santana to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for minor-league shortstop Jhonny Severino. Santana, a switch-hitting first baseman/designated hitter, brings power and on-base potential to the Brewers, who have a need at first base. The Pirates receive 18-year-old prospect Severino, who is currently playing in Rookie Ball.
