Jewish newspaper editor charged for Capitol riot involvement.
Elliot Resnick, former editor of an Orthodox Jewish newspaper in New York City, has been charged with two felonies for his actions at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Resnick grabbed a Capitol Police officer’s arm while he was attempting to defend the doors leading to the rotunda and helped pull other rioters into the building at one of the earliest moments of the breach. He faces charges of civil disorder and impeding police officers, as well as misdemeanor counts for entering and remaining in a restricted building, as well as disorderly or disruptive conduct in a Capitol building.
