"Polish Family Martyred by Nazis to be Beatified Together by Catholic Church"
A Polish couple and their seven children, including a newborn baby, who were murdered by the Nazis in 1944 for sheltering a Jewish family, will be beatified by the Catholic Church in Poland. The Vatican clarified that the newborn baby was born "at the moment" of his mother's murder and is included in the number of living children. This will be the first time an entire family is elevated toward sainthood, and their bodies were exhumed for the ceremony.
