NASCAR Jet Dryer Aids in Speedy I-95 Reconstruction in Philadelphia
A jet dryer from Pocono Raceway, normally used to dry out NASCAR tracks after rain delays, has been deployed to help repair a section of I-95 in Pennsylvania that collapsed earlier this month. The jet dryer will be used to dry the new road surface and allow crews to paint lane lines more quickly during wet conditions. The temporary roadway is set to open this weekend, just two weeks after the original structure collapsed, and will have three lanes in each direction.
