Jesse Rodriguez Dominates Sunny Edwards to Unify Flyweight Titles
Jesse Rodriguez unifies the WBO and IBF flyweight titles with a ninth-round TKO victory over Sunny Edwards. Rodriguez slowly broke down Edwards before flooring him with a jab to the body followed by an overhand left. Edwards survived but was severely marked up and couldn't see out of either eye by the end of the fight. Rodriguez was ahead on all three scorecards at the time of the stoppage. Future Hall of Famer Juan Francisco Estrada could be Rodriguez's next opponent.
