Sex offender's release linked to Oklahoma mass slaying and rape allegations.
Jesse McFadden, a convicted rapist who spent nearly 17 years in prison before his 2020 release, likely shot and killed six people, including his wife, her three teenage children, and two other teens who were at the McFadden home for a sleepover, before killing himself. McFadden had sent a Facebook message to a woman who was set to testify against him in a child sex abuse trial, blaming her for continuing the case against him. The woman, Kaitlyn Babb, provided the message to NBC News. The failure of prosecutors to ever try the case signaled a miscarriage in the state’s justice system.
