Lions to Allow CB Jerry Jacobs to Enter Free Agency
The Detroit Lions reportedly won't offer a restricted free agent tender to cornerback Jerry Jacobs, making him an unrestricted free agent if not signed to an extension by the new league year. Jacobs hinted at his departure from Detroit on social media. The Lions are expected to be in the market for cornerbacks, having already agreed to re-sign Emmanuel Moseley and rumored to be interested in Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. If Jacobs does leave, he departs after three seasons with the Lions, during which he started 29 games and recorded 23 passes defended and four interceptions.
