Funeral arrangements have been announced for Jerry Green, the iconic Detroit News sports writer who died at the age of 94. Visitation and services will be held at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home in Troy. Green began his journalism career in 1952 and covered every Super Bowl until this year. He is survived by his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters.
