New York Red Bulls forward Dante Vanzeir admitted to using a racial slur during an incident with San Jose Earthquakes striker Jeremy Ebobisse in a recent MLS game. The Red Bulls issued a statement with a vague apology and admission of guilt from Vanzeir. Following the confrontation, the teams stopped play for about 20 minutes. Vanzeir said in his statement that he would accept any fine, suspension and mandatory counseling handed down by Major League Soccer.
