Judge Rules Lady Gaga Exempt from $500K Reward Payment in Dog Theft Case
Lady Gaga has been ruled not liable to pay the $500,000 reward to Jennifer McBride, who returned the pop star's stolen French bulldogs but was later convicted of knowingly receiving the stolen pets. A judge in Los Angeles dismissed McBride's lawsuit, stating that she had "unclean hands" and could not benefit from her wrongdoing. McBride, who is currently on felony probation, claimed she had no knowledge of the theft and only took possession of the dogs to ensure their safety. However, the judge sided with Gaga's team, stating that McBride's lawsuit made no sense.
