LSU fans celebrated their College World Series win by buying a record-breaking 68,888 Jell-O shots at Rocco's Pizza and Cantina in Omaha, shattering the previous record of 18,777 set by Ole Miss last year. Two dollars from each $4.50 shot will be donated to all eight teams playing in the series this year.
LSU baseball fans have broken the Jell-O Shot Challenge record at the Men's College World Series by buying 22,462 shots at Rocco's Pizza and Cantina in Omaha. The competition sees fans of the eight teams buy a Jell-O shot for $5, with the fanbase with the most points at the end of the tournament declared the champion. Proceeds from each purchase go to food banks for all eight teams and the Heartland Food Bank in Omaha. Todd Graves, Raising Cane's founder and LSU fan, bought 6,000 shots to help the Tigers break the record.
