The New York Mets lost to the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-6, after their bullpen collapsed in the eighth inning, allowing four runs. Carlos Carrasco pitched four innings, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts and a walk. Francisco Lindor hit his 15th homer of the season, and Pete Alonso hit his 24th. Jeff Brigham struggled in relief, walking in a run and hitting two batters. The Mets will face the Milwaukee Brewers in a four-game series starting on Monday.
