Jesse Lee Soffer, who played Jay Halstead in Chicago PD for 10 seasons, is not returning to the show yet, but he almost made an appearance in season 10, episode 16, which he directed. Soffer left the show to pursue more opportunities as an actor and director, but he hasn't ruled out a return to the show in the future. He confirmed that he still loves the cast and crew and that Halstead will always be in his blood.
