Toyota has suspended production at all of its Japanese assembly plants due to a technical glitch in its production system that is preventing the processing of orders for automotive components. The automaker, known for its "just-in-time" production system, is investigating the cause of the problem and has not attributed it to a cyberattack. The suspension affects 12 out of 14 vehicle factories and could result in a significant loss of capacity. Toyota will decide on Wednesday whether to resume production.
