Lilly King Gets Engaged After Qualifying for Olympics
Olympic swimmer Lilly King was surprised by a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, James Wells, moments after qualifying for the 200-meter breaststroke event at the Paris Olympics. King, who also secured a spot in the 100-meter breaststroke, will be the first U.S. swimmer to compete in both events at three consecutive Olympics. Wells, a former Indiana University swimmer, chose the moment for its significance in her home state.
