Fred VanVleet has left the Toronto Raptors to join the Houston Rockets on a three-year, $128 million contract, with the Raptors unwilling to go beyond $90 million. The Raptors have also signed rookie Gradey Dick and hired James Wade, former head coach and general manager of the WNBA's Chicago Sky, as an assistant coach. In other NBA news, Anthony Edwards has agreed to a five-year, $260 million extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves, while Damian Lillard has requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers and has expressed interest in joining the Miami Heat.
