Jameer Nelson Takes the Helm as GM of 76ers' G League Team
Former NBA All-Star guard Jameer Nelson has been promoted to the position of general manager for the Philadelphia 76ers' G League affiliate team, the Delaware Blue Coats. Nelson, who has been with the Sixers organization for three years, previously served as the assistant GM and a scout for the team. He takes over from Prosper Karangwa, who has moved into a more prominent role within the Sixers' front office. Nelson, a local player from Chester, Pennsylvania, had a successful career in the NBA and was an All-Star in 2009.
