British electronic music producer Jai Paul made his live debut at Coachella, emerging halfway through the opening song dressed with faux rocks to look as if he was playing on another planet. His shyness teetered between earnest and too unpolished, but his talent and promise were definitely there. Unfortunately, the set was exclusive for actual concertgoers and was not livestreamed.
Jai Paul's highly anticipated first-ever performance at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was not livestreamed as planned, but was actually broadcasted following a stream of Labrinth's headlining set. He performed his game-changing singles "Jasmine" and "BTSU," a new track called "So Long," and songs from his project Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones). His band included his brother A.K. Paul, Fabiana Palladino, Rocco Palladino, and Isaac Kizito.
Jai Paul performed live for the first time ever at Coachella, playing tracks from his officially dubbed leak Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones) and an unreleased track called "So Long." His setlist also included a Big Boi track he featured on back in 2012. Jai Paul will be back at Coachella next weekend for his second-ever live performance.
