Cardinals Make Roster Moves: Barnes In, Liberatore Out
The St. Louis Cardinals have selected the contract of right-hander Jacob Barnes, while placing left-hander Matthew Liberatore on the 15-day injured list due to lower back tightness. Barnes, who has played for multiple teams this year, has yet to pitch in the majors this season but has performed well in Triple-A. Liberatore, who has struggled in the rotation, will now be sidelined for at least two weeks. The Cardinals are looking to add three starters to their rotation this winter.
