Tech Giants and Investors Boycott Web Summit Over Israel Controversy
Google has withdrawn from participating in the Web Summit, the largest technology conference in Europe, following statements made by CEO Paddy Cosgrave blaming Israel for war crimes. In response, Israeli venture capital firms have united in a joint conference boycott, stating that they cannot participate in an event where the leadership blames Israel while Hamas commits acts of terrorism. Intel also pulled out of the conference after Cosgrave's remarks, and over 200 Israelis are still being held hostage in Gaza.
