Samsung has introduced two new camera sensors, the ISOCELL Vizion 63D and ISOCELL Vizion 931, designed for AR/VR headsets and smartphones. The ISOCELL Vizion 63D is a 3D ToF sensor that accurately measures depth and distance, while the ISOCELL Vizion 931 is a global shutter sensor that captures fast motion without distortion. These sensors are expected to be used in Samsung's upcoming mixed-reality headset and are currently being tested by device makers worldwide. The ISOCELL Vizion 63D features integrated depth-sensing hardware ISP and reduces power consumption by 40%, while the ISOCELL Vizion 931 offers high quantum efficiency and can connect four cameras to an application processor using a single wire.
