The Script's Co-Founding Guitarist Mark Sheehan Passes Away at 46.
Mark Sheehan, co-founding guitarist of Irish rock trio The Script, has died at the age of 46 after a brief illness. Sheehan and singer-keyboardist Danny O’Donoghue formed The Script in the early 2000s, and the band went on to become one of Ireland's most successful acts, with six of its seven LPs hitting No. 1 in the UK. Sheehan is survived by his wife and three children. The band is scheduled to support Pink for a series of European concerts in the summer.
