The Changing Landscape of State Propaganda in the Age of Tech Giants
Twitter has stopped its previous practice of limiting the spread of tweets from Russian, Chinese, and Iranian government media accounts, according to two former Twitter employees who spoke to NPR on the condition of anonymity. This could lead to an increase in pro-government propaganda across Twitter and lead to real-life consequences for people who disagree with the authorities.
