GOP and FBI reach compromise over Biden document, avoiding contempt vote.
House Republicans reached a compromise with the FBI to allow all members of a key committee to review an investigative document related to President Joe Biden, averting a vote to hold the FBI in contempt. The document, called an FD-1023, contains information from a confidential source alleging that Biden was involved in a $5 million bribery scheme. The compromise calls for all members of the committee to be able to review the document and two other documents mentioned in it. The top Democrat on the panel said the allegations were debunked and the Trump Justice Department concluded that the evidence failed to justify further inquiry.
