"Potential Tropical Storms Emily and Invest96L and Invest97L Being Monitored by NHC"
The National Hurricane Center is tracking two tropical disturbances in the Atlantic. Invest 96L, located east of the Leeward Islands, is likely to become a tropical depression or storm soon. Invest 97L, located off the U.S. Mid-Atlantic coast, is less likely to develop into a tropical cyclone. The impacts to land from these disturbances are currently minimal, but rough surf and strong rip currents may affect the East coast beaches.
