Both lanes of Interstate 79 in Marion County, West Virginia have reopened following a multi-vehicle accident. The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the closure of the entire interstate in the area. One injury was reported, but no one has been transported at this time. A motorcyclist, identified as Christina Barnes, was pronounced dead at the scene after a crash on Interstate 79 in Monongalia County, West Virginia. The motorcyclist attempted to enter the emergency turnaround in the median but was struck by a Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the car was entrapped and taken to the hospital. Deputies are still investigating the incident.
