"Microsoft Workers Express Deteriorating Sentiments Towards Company Culture and Leadership"
Internal polls at Microsoft reveal that employees feel significantly worse about the company's workplace culture and the effectiveness of its leaders compared to the beginning of the year. The percentage of employees seeing evidence of a positive change in workplace culture dropped from 62% in January to 40% in July, while confidence in the overall effectiveness of leaders fell from 75% to 59%. Additionally, fewer than half of employees indicated they would stay at Microsoft if offered a comparable position elsewhere. The declining morale is attributed to layoffs, paused pay raises, and budget cuts for bonuses and stock awards.
