"China's FAST Telescope Unveils 76 Elusive Pulsars"
China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) has discovered 76 dim and sporadic pulsars, including the faintest known pulsars to date. The team also confirmed that rotating radio transients (RRATs) are intermittent pulsars. The intermittent pulsars discovered by FAST account for approximately 12% of the total number of pulsars discovered in the survey. The study provides insights into the dense remnants of dead stars and their radiation characteristics.
