Melissa Gilbert Shuts Down Instagram as Timothy Busfield Faces Child Abuse Allegations
Timothy Busfield is charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse. His wife, Melissa Gilbert, deactivated her Instagram amid the allegations and was reportedly on speakerphone during a police interview on November 3, 2025. A warrant alleges Busfield described a relationship with the alleged victims and their parents outside of work; Gilbert later spoke out about child exploitation on set. Busfield has prior sexual assault allegations dating back to 1994.
