Jets' Injury Woes: Tyron Smith on IR, Breece Hall Set for Seahawks
New York Jets left tackle Tyron Smith has been placed on injured reserve, likely ending his season and possibly his career. Smith, a former Dallas Cowboys star and eight-time Pro Bowler, suffered a neck injury on November 10 and has not played since. The Jets, who are 3-8, signed Smith to a one-year contract hoping he could bolster their offensive line, but his season was marred by penalties and sacks allowed. With Smith's injury, the Jets have activated guard Xavier Newsman and elevated running back Kene Nwangwu from the practice squad.
