Resecurity's HUNTER unit has identified a new release of the Meduza stealer malware (version 2.2) on the dark web, which now includes enhanced features such as support for additional software clients, an improved credit card grabber, and advanced password storage dumping mechanisms. This update, distributed across underground forums and Telegram, positions Meduza as a formidable competitor to other stealers like Azorult and Redline, with capabilities to target a wide range of browsers, cryptocurrency wallets, password managers, and other applications, raising concerns for account security and financial fraud.
