Boppy Newborn Lounger linked to 12 infant deaths
The Boppy Newborn Lounger, which was recalled in 2021 after being linked to eight infant deaths, has now been associated with at least 10 deaths since 2015, according to federal regulators. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and The Boppy Company have urged consumers to stop using the product and to contact Boppy for a refund. The CPSC also sent a letter to Facebook's parent company, Meta, urging it to take stronger action to stop illegal secondhand sales of the Boppy lounger on Facebook Marketplace. The CPSC is expected to consider new regulations for infant loungers in the coming weeks.
