"Tragic Fire in Harlem Claims Life of Indian Journalist and Injures Dozens"

Fazil Khan, a 27-year-old Indian journalist and recent graduate of Columbia University’s School of Journalism, tragically died in a fire that engulfed a Harlem apartment building, injuring eighteen others. The Consulate General of India in New York City is assisting with repatriating his remains to India. Khan had previously worked at CNN-News18 in Delhi and The Hechinger Report in New York. The fire, sparked by a lithium ion battery, led to a dramatic rescue by FDNY firefighters and left several residents hospitalized.

NASA's Indian-Made Chopper Sets Record for Longest Flight on Mars

NASA's Ingenuity helicopter, designed by Indian citizen Dr J Bob Balaram, has successfully completed 64 flights on Mars, marking the first powered, controlled flight on another planet. Weighing only 1.8 kg and made of ultra-lightweight carbon fiber, Ingenuity overcame the challenges of the thin Martian atmosphere with blades rotating at 10 times the speed of helicopters on Earth. Dr Balaram, who studied at IIT Madras, hopes to inspire Indian students to pursue space exploration and contribute to the country's space initiatives.
