Delta Air Lines Expands with New Nonstop Routes at Austin Airport

Delta Air Lines is expanding its operations at Austin's airport by adding 11 new flights in 2024, including three new nonstop routes to Nashville, Midland/Odessa, and McAllen. The expansion positions Austin as a key access point for Delta's global network. The new flights will be operated by Delta Connection, increasing the airline's capacity by 20% at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. This announcement comes after American Airlines cut 21 routes from Austin, including the Cincinnati route, which Delta is now adding a new daily flight to.

Ford's F-150 Lightning production back on track after temporary halt

Ford has resumed production of the F-150 Lightning electric truck after a six-week shutdown to upgrade its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Michigan. The automaker expects to triple its production capacity, with an annualized rate of 150,000 units starting this fall. The factory improvements include new equipment for precision measurements and validation, as well as the hiring of 1,200 new workers. Ford aims to reduce waiting times and meet the increased demand for the popular EV, which saw a sixfold spike in orders after a recent price drop.
