The exhumed body of a nun, Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster, who died in 2019, has drawn hundreds of travelers to a small town in Missouri after it was found to be nearly perfectly preserved with no signs of natural decay. The impressive preservation of her body is seen as a miracle and could warrant a "well-established process to pursue the cause for sainthood," according to the diocese. Sister Lancaster was the founder of the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, Queen of the Apostles.
