
Intel Sells Minority Stake in IMS Nanofabrication Business to TSMC
Intel has agreed to sell a 10% stake in its IMS Nanofabrication business to TSMC for approximately $4.3 billion. Intel will retain majority ownership of IMS, which specializes in multi-beam mask writing tools for advanced lithography technology. The investment from TSMC, along with a previous stake sale to Bain Capital, will provide IMS with increased independence and support its growth and innovation in the semiconductor industry.
