Disney's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was expected to close temporarily after December 2023 for updates and changes, according to sources close to the project. Imagineers were reportedly working on new shows, merchandise, and updates for the immersive experience as recently as this week. However, Disney announced the permanent closure of the Starcruiser following the September 28 voyage, surprising many who work at the location. The high-priced, two-night immersive experience debuted just over a year ago and had been experiencing disappointing occupancy rates.
