"Bringing Back the Champion: Restoring the Legendary Penske IndyCar"
Patrick Morgan, founder of Dawn Treader Performance Engineering, has restored the last race-winning Penske PC26 chassis 05, which won at Gateway in 1997. The chassis, powered by a Mercedes-badged Ilmor engine, was acquired by Morgan and took 18 months to restore. Morgan hopes to bring modern filming technology to capture the car in action and showcase the demanding nature of driving these cars from that era.
