Patriots' Kayshon Boutte Arrested for Illegal Sports Gambling at LSU
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has been arrested on charges related to illegal online gaming while he was under age and played at Louisiana State University, accused of creating an online betting account under a fake name and placing over 8,900 illegal bets, including wagers on NCAA football games, some involving LSU football. Boutte surrendered to authorities on a felony charge of computer fraud and a misdemeanor count of Gaming Prohibited for Persons under 21, and was released on bond. The Patriots stated that Boutte is cooperating with the investigation, while LSU said it has no evidence of other student-athletes participating in the prohibited activities.
