Ignacio Ruiz appointed Superintendent of Las Cruces Public Schools
Ignacio Ruiz has been elected as the new superintendent of the Las Cruces Public Schools in New Mexico. Ruiz, currently an assistant superintendent for the Clark County School District in Nevada, will begin his role on August 1 with a contract until June 30, 2025. His annual salary will be $200,000, and he will receive standard district benefits. Ruiz expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity during a virtual meeting with the board members. He was chosen from a pool of 30 qualified applicants.
