Idaho police have found an audio recording containing a racial slur directed at the Utah women’s basketball team, and are investigating the incident to determine if a violation of the law occurred. The team reported that individuals in pickup trucks revved their engines and yelled the N-word toward them while they were in Coeur d’Alene for NCAA Tournament games. The police have collected 35 hours of video from businesses in the area and are working to establish the context and conduct associated with the use of the racial slur.
