The Super Mario Bros. theme, also known as "Ground Theme," has become the first video game music to be inducted into the US Library of Congress' National Recording Registry. The iconic tune was produced by longtime Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and has been reused in various Mario games, shows, and movies. It is one of 25 new inductees, including well-known works like Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven."
