"Coast Guard Rescues 20 Fishermen from Lake Erie Ice Floe"
The U.S. Coast Guard rescued 20 fishermen who were stranded on an ice floe on Lake Erie near Port Clinton, Ohio, using two airboats and a helicopter. Nine people were rescued by the Coast Guard, four were saved by the Put-in-Bay Fire Department, and seven made it ashore on their own airboat. No injuries were reported, and officials warned about the unpredictability and hazards of ice floes, especially in windy conditions.
